Even though there are rumors of adding a V-8 engine to one of the trims, the Lexus IS line will keep its previous powerful engine. The base model will still boast a turbocharged inline-4 engine. It produces up to 241 horsepower, while the IS 350 will keep the 3.5 Liter V-6 engine with an output of 311 horsepower. The 4-wheel drive will keep the IS 350 engine but with reduced power to 260 hp.

5. Drive Train Options Got Some Tweaks

There are few driving train changes with IS 300 and IS 350, both getting a rear wheel and the 4-wheel drive options. The choice will be dependable on your needs. Each drive option has its transmission. The rear wheel models get an 8-speed automatic transmission, while the 4-wheel options have a 6-speed automatic gearbox. The drive options got some tuning for an excellent performance.

6. More Safety Upgrades for 2021

Of course, you must get concerned about safety upgrades. There are several upgrades for the 2021 Lexus models which make your driving safer. The enhancements are an adaptive cruise control system.
